According to longtime PA announcer Jay Rokeach, Coach Fraser had a booster who owned a clothing company to make these for a St. Patrick's Day in the early 70's. The players were not happy the way they fit...as the company had never done baseball uniforms...and the players were probably more upset with the way they LOOKED !
Randy Olen, left, wore this green glove for a season in the early 70's. Shown here with longtime PA announcer Jay Rokeach, Olen said Coach Fraser got the McGregor Company to make green gloves for the whole team...though this is believed to be the only one that still exists.
