The 1927-28 Ibis yearbook wrote this...
To open its second football season, the University of Miami sent the undefeated Hurricanes into battle against the Rollins Tars, and overwhelmingly defeated them 39-3. Coach Buck started the game with practically the second team, keeping only Ted Bleier and (UMSHoF member ) Bill Kimbrough of the Varsity. Later in the game he "pulled a Rockne"and made a wholesale substitution which resulted in a complete rout of the invaders. The line held like a stone wall under the leadership of Bill Kimbrough. Cliff Courtney led the running attack and proved his ability as a broken field runner "
After going undefeated by winning eight straight games in 1926 as a "freshman" team, the schools first Varsity team won its first 2 games, including this victory, the schools 9th consecutive, but faced tougher competition and the 1927 season ended 3-6-1
On display in the UM Sports Hall of Fame is a pennant

that was donated to the UMSHoF by her family.
