The UM Sports Hall of Fame & Museum wishes a VERY SPECIAL HAPPY100TH BIRTHDAY to our Board of Director's Member G. Holmes Braddock!!!!
Mr. B has been a member of our committee for over 25 years and has been named Historian Emeritus by the UMSHoF&M. He has attended UM baseball and football games since enrolling in the university n 1946, after serving our country in World War 2 on a medical hospital ship ferrying wounded soldiers across the Atlantic.
Holmes served the community as a school board member for 38 years and served as the Miami-Dade School Board chairman during some difficult times but helped get the community through it with strong and decisive decisions and leadership.
He was awarded the UMSHoF&M President's Distinguished Service Award at the HoF's 2024 Induction Banquet.
We wish him a VERY Happy Birthday and many more! God Bless YOU, Holmes Braddock!
